Jewish Baby Naming Ceremony | Bethesda, MD | The Edelman Family

I’m a sucker for traditions. As wedding photographers we have seen so many beautiful and meaningful traditions from Chinese Tea Ceremonies to Persian Sugar-Rubbing Ceremonies to Ketubah Signings - but this was my first time at a Jewish Baby Naming Ceremony.

We photographed Alex and Mckinley’s wedding (what feels like yesterday) and I was so happy when they reached out to have me photograph their new daughter’s naming ceremony. It was an honor to be invited into yet another sacred moment in their lives. This was an especially significant event considering this was many of their family and friends first time meeting little Mollie and everyone’s joy was so precious.
