Ginny & Ben | Blue Hill Farm | Virginia Wedding

This is the story of Ginny and Ben, and the day they started a marriage on a little farm in Virginia.

Weddings are so grounding for us. They ground us in what really matters. They bring us out of the craziness of life and help us to focus on the present. They help restore our faith in humanity through the witness of love and relationships and family coming together. We often say they are like little vow renewals for our own marriage. This wedding was all of that for us.

A HUGE special thanks to Rob Jinks who helped us with photos as well!

Dan & Daisy | Lansdowne Resort | Loudoun County Wedding

A gorgeous sunny day was a perfect backdrop for this sweet couple to tie the knot. They started their marriage last summer with an outdoor wedding on the terrace at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA. While surrounded and supported by friends and family throughout the day, the love between the couple was palpable - from the minute Dan watched Daisy process down the aisle to the kiss they shared at the end of the night under sparklers.

Gina and Peter | Tudor Place | Intimate DC Wedding

We always love finding the unexpected. When it comes to weddings it’s often the unexpected moments that get to the heart of the story. When it comes to Washington DC, it’s unexpected venues like the Tudor Place where Gina and Peter had their perfect intimate wedding with their immediate family. Nestled just north of Georgetown, the historic house and gardens transport you to another time and place, despite the city remaining just a few feet away. It’s quiet, lovely and could not be a more perfect setting for where Gina and Peter vowed to love one another for the rest of their days.

The following evening we met back up with Gina and Peter to document their reception at Masseria in Union Market with all of their family and friends for an evening of amazing food, good conversation and heartfelt toasts. We wish these two an incredible life together and were so honored to document their story!

The Best of 2018

We finish up our 8th wedding season tomorrow with the last wedding of the year, and we are beyond thankful for every one of our amazing couples that trusted us to document them. 2018 was truly an incredible and unique experience as our first year without the safety net of a day job.

We do our best to always document every wedding to answer the question “What did it feel like?”

This is our best attempt to explain what 2018 felt like to us:
