Hannah and Steve | Carroll Creek Promenade and McClintock Distillery | Maryland Wedding

We try our best to always remember that weddings are not about us as photographers. They’re not about portraits or our creative vision. They’re about a real story with real people with real moments. We’re so excited to share these images of Hannah and Steve’s first day of marriage.

Hannah and Steve had their wedding in the beautiful historic district of Frederick, Maryland. They stood surrounded by their dearest family and friends at the Carroll Creek Promenade where they exchanged vows along the edge of the water. After the ceremony everyone walked over the bridge to McClintock Distillery where we enjoyed a veritable feast from Hempen Hill BBQ, amazing local spirits and cocktails, and an epic dance party from The Dapper DJs.

Hannah and Pete | Meridian Hill Park | DC Wedding

Hannah and Pete wanted a wedding that focused on family and friends above all else. Their day accomplished just that in what we would describe as one of the most relaxing and fun weddings we’ve documented in 2018. Their wedding date was also the anniversary of both Hannah’s parents and grandparents!

Hannah and Pete had their first look at the Spanish Steps before heading over to their wedding ceremony at Meridian Hill Park, one of the most gorgeous parks in the city. After the ceremony the newly weds led a walking parade of their guests through the city to their reception at Ghibellina.

Hannah and Pete, thank you for inviting us into the amazing start of your marriage. It was such an honor to witness your wedding day!

Christine and Mark | Phoenix Park Hotel | Washington DC Wedding

Christine and Mark invited us to document their amazing wedding this past May which fused in many of their Chinese cultural traditions. We started and finished the day at the iconic Phoenix Park Hotel. The Bishop celebrated their wedding mass at St Mary Mother of God Catholic Church. Lastly, we were blessed with some incredible weather to take their couple portraits over at the Jefferson Memorial.

Christine and Mark, thank you for having us, and we wish you both an amazing start to your marriage!

Sara and Rob | The Stables At Bluemont Vineyard | Virginia Wedding

Sara and Rob got married on a spring day in the rolling hills of Loudoun County. Despite some close calls with thunder storms, the timing worked out and these two tied the knot surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends for a fantastic day. Sara and Rob met playing kickball in Washington DC before diving into the crazy world of juggling dating, work, grad school, and moving to Charlottesville. They love going to wineries together and Bluemont Vineyard was one of the first ones they visited which made it the perfect choice for their wedding! The Stables at Bluemont Vineyard offers one of the most scenic views of western Loudoun County and is always one of our favorite places to photograph.

Sara and Rob, thank you so much for the privilege to document the start of your marriage and we wish you an amazing life together!

Chelsea and Soung | Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery | Virginia Wedding

Chelsea and Soung were married in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the gorgeous venue, Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery. Although the rainy weather moved their ceremony inside we thought it was still a perfect day, and we got to sneak in their full first look and couple portrait time before the storms hit. During the final moments of portraits we could see the wall of rain heading right towards us and captured those final moments with them under an umbrella while we embraced a little bit of water. The reception party was incredible, kicking off with one of the most epic first dances ever.

Chelsea and Soung, thank you for trusting us to document your first day of marriage. It was incredible. Here are some of our favorite moments of the day.
